Dave grew up on the outskirts of Washington, D.C. After a short visit to Kenya in 2001, he was struck by the vibrant faith and immense challenges faced by residents of Nairobi's many slums. He felt God calling him to return. Leaving his job in research, Dave went as a full-time missionary to Kenya in 2006, teaching and working with young people.
Lucy felt drawn to God as a child. In the same way that she experienced His kindness and mercy she wanted to share it with others. Lucy mentors young women and encourages those in difficult circumstances. Dave and Lucy met in Nairobi and were married in March, 2009. They are the parents of Joshua, Paul and Zuri.
Dave and Lucy are missionaries with the Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders. They are the founders of Kenya Connection and work to encourage youth development through Christian mentorship, education, missions, and economic development. They coordinate discipleship and job creation programs for youth and support missions work throughout Eastern Africa.
