Vulnerable groups are present in every community. Orphans, widows, disabled persons, refugees, child soldiers, victims of sex trafficking, and more are in our midst. Churches are called to reach out, protect and care for the vulnerable and marginalized, but unfortunately we often don't know how to do this or feel overwhelmed by the needs. During January, our friends from Gather and Care Ministries helped facilitate a conference for Anglican Church Leaders on ministering to the vulnerable in their communities. The aim is to equip local churches and to mobilize them to develop pilot projects for holistic care of the fatherless, husbandless, orphan, and widow. Lucy and Dave are serving as links with the local church in Nairobi. Below are a few photos.
